In 1907 St Jim's stories were featured in the Pluck. Tom Merry originally joined Clavering School in the Gem but Clavering closed down after a few issues and some of the schoolboys moved to St Jim's which was transferred from the Pluck to the Gem. Confused? I'm not surprised. Roger Jenkins explains it much better in an article for the 1992 issue of the Collectors Digest annual here.
