The Sun

The Sun (Comic) ran from  11th November 1947 to 17th October 1959 before being incorporated with the Lion. Initially published by J.B. Allan it was taken over by the Amalgamated Press after 41 issues.

Issues 194 - 227 featured stories of Tom Merry leaving Clavering School and moving to St Jim's. These issues are rewrites of stories which featured in early issues of the  Gem.

A few of the issues from around 1958/1958 featured a comic strip based on the Great St Jim's rebellion. I don't know how long this serial lasted There are a couple of issues available for download at the bottom of this page
