| Larks and Best Budget Larks was published by Dalziel Brothers from 1893 until 1899 before being bought by Trapps Holmes. Series 1 ran from 1st May 1893 to 3rd March 1902 before being renamed Best Budget. This change only lasted for 12 weeks before returning as Larks 2nd series. The second series ran from 7th June 1902 until 29th December 1906 before being incorporated into The World's Comic. Hamilton wrote hundreds of stories for this publication using his own name and a number of pen names. Details can be found on the table below. This publication is not to be confused with the Amalgamated Press publication of the same name which ran from 1927-1940. The table below has been created using information gleaned from the Hamilton Bibliography and my thanks go to Allan S and John L for sharing it.
