SCHOOLGIRLS’ OWN ANNUAL.

I have compiled a list of Morcove stories, articles, playlets and songs that are to be found in the Schoolgirls’ Own Annuals, 1923 to 1939 (and up to 1941). If there are more stories in others annuals, I endeavour to include them. I am also including the Grangemoor College, and related stories, as those involve Morcove students in more than one case. Also included are stories related to individuals from both schools. (Polly & Jack Linton, Dave Cardew, etc.)

Most of the Morcove Stories have been written by Marjorie Stanton. If a different name has been given, I have mentioned so, or if the story article is attributed to, or by, a Morcovian, I have also indicated this.

Sentences/statements inserted within square brackets, [&], are my words to help clarify and amplify information about the article.

All stories are arranged alphabetically, with the exception of titles starting with an ‘A’ or ‘The’ which are listed by the following word. I have also ignored quotation marks (“Morcove”) in the titling. Also, ‘Morcove’s’ is listed AFTER ‘Morcove’
